The Sheila Twalla Foundation (STF) is a Ugandan non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental and emotional wellbeing, nurturing child development, empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building resilient communities through holistic, person-centred programmes. We believe that when people are supported to heal, grow, and realise their potential, they become catalysts for stronger families, healthier communities, and lasting social change.
Mental and emotional wellbeing remains one of the most overlooked aspects of health and development in Uganda. Many people are living with the effects of trauma, grief, family conflict, violence, unemployment, poverty, displacement, and other life challenges.

The Sheila Twalla Foundation grew from a simple conviction: Many people carry invisible burdens while doing their
best to appear strong.
Over the years, I found myself listening to people whose greatest need was not advice or solutions, but someone willing
to truly listen. Those conversations reminded me that healing often begins the moment a person feels seen, heard, and
accepted without fear of being judged.
