The Sheila Twalla Foundation is a Ugandan nonprofit that creates safe spaces and transforms lives. It promotes mental and emotional wellbeing, protects children, strengthens families, and builds resilient communities across Uganda. Its core programmes include counselling and safe spaces for healing, child protection work with schools and families, and family-strengthening support such as parenting workshops and caregiver coaching.
Its mission is to walk alongside individuals, families and communities — creating safe spaces where wellbeing, dignity and hope can grow. This includes promoting mental and emotional wellbeing through accessible counselling, protecting and nurturing children, strengthening families with practical support, and building community resilience led by local people. Its vision is a Uganda where every person feels safe, valued and supported — where families thrive and communities carry one another.
You can donate securely via their GoFundMe page (linked on the website). Every contribution funds counselling, child protection and family support in Uganda. For enquiries, contact them at hello@sheilatwallafoundation.org, +256 700 000 000, or visit them in Kampala, Uganda
